Project proposals / New ideas.

Hi all,

- Verisign's TSIK is coming in via incubator after the WS-PMC VOTE'd
to accept it (http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/incubator-general/200505.mbox/%3CE11ED8B85AEDC54CB452EE76FD4B29014701AF@MOU1WNEXMB02.vcorp.ad.vrsn.com%3E
)
- Jochen has started factoring out some code to create a "web services
commons" (http://svn.apache.org/viewcvs/webservices/commons/).
- Looking for folks to write bindings for Perl/Python over Axis C++.
I've done some work that can be reused.
- Do we need a JSR 181: Web Services Metadata for the JavaTM Platform
that works with standalone exist (without Beehive). We could re-use
Beehive's WSM and may be even get it working with JDK1.4 (Beehive
mandates J2SE 5.0) using Eclipse JDT and maybe some fancy ASM work
(http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2004/10/20/asm.html?page=2)

For any of these, if you would like to get involved, or want propose
new stuff. just drop a note to general@ws and CC me.

thanks,
dims

Here you go. Added it to commons as well -

You are in luck buddy! :)

See http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/ws-axis/proposals/XmlSchema/

Posted by Anil Saldhana <an...@yahoo.com>.
All,
I find the Xerces Schema API and Implementation to
be rock solid to parse Schema files into an object
model. But I do not find anything in Apache that can
do the reverse.

Basically it will be fun to have a project that can
help construct schemas programmatically and the end
artifact is one or more schema files.

Regards,
Anil
