[jira] [Created] (AVRO-3835) [Rust] Get rid of byteorder and zerocopy dependencies

Martin Tzvetanov Grigorov created AVRO-3835:
-----------------------------------------------

             Summary: [Rust] Get rid of byteorder and zerocopy dependencies
                 Key: AVRO-3835
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AVRO-3835
             Project: Apache Avro
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: rust
            Reporter: Martin Tzvetanov Grigorov
            Assignee: Martin Tzvetanov Grigorov

The "byteorder" and "zerocopy" dependencies could be removed.

The Rust standard API provides the needed methods to convert to/from integer types to byte arrays in Little/Big endian formats.

The removal of dependencies has two benefits:
 * smaller binary
 * faster compilation
