[jira] [Created] (HBASE-10848) Filter SingleColumnValueFilter combined with NullComparator does not work

Fabien Le Gallo created HBASE-10848:
---------------------------------------

             Summary: Filter SingleColumnValueFilter combined with NullComparator does not work
                 Key: HBASE-10848
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-10848
             Project: HBase
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Filters
    Affects Versions: 0.96.1.1
            Reporter: Fabien Le Gallo

I want to filter out from the scan the rows that does not have a specific column qualifier. For this purpose I use the filter SingleColumnValueFilter combined with the NullComparator.
But every time I use this in a scan, I get the following exception:

{code}

It seems like there is a regression. I was previously using HBase 0.92 and this was working well.

You can find in attachement a test case reproducing the issue.
