   More things to do
   1. `python setup.py sdist` is deprecated(setuptools has stopped maintaining it for a while) and we should be using `python -m build --sdist` for building sdists. Also, we should update the beam wiki with updated instructions. More information can be found at https://blog.ganssle.io/articles/2021/10/setup-py-deprecated.html#summary
   2. Move the `build-requirements.txt` to `pyproject.toml`.
