protecting resources with ACL method

With Slide, how can I prevent some resources from being modified or deleted by ANY user ?
I already noticed that the URI of users were like that : /users/someone. So, if I call the ACL method with a "deny" on "write" privilege for "all" users, does it work ?

Please help !
