Multifile-Output-Extension

I want to integrate the Xerces Multi-Output extension in my application.
When starting the standalone engine with

java ... org.apache.xalan.xslt.Process -in beispiele.xml -xsl
generate_pages.xsl -out generate.html

everything works fine. Trying to following code

   processor = XSLTProcessorFactory.getProcessor();
   // Create the 3 objects the XSLTProcessor needs to perform the
transformation.
    XSLTInputSource   xmlSource = new XSLTInputSource(xmlSourceURL);
    XSLTInputSource   xslSheet = new XSLTInputSource(xslURL);
    XSLTResultTarget  xmlResult = new XSLTResultTarget(outputURL);

    // Perform the transformation.
    processor.setDiagnosticsOutput(System.out);
    processor.setQuietConflictWarnings(false);
    processor.setTraceSelect(true);
    processor.process(xmlSource, xslSheet, xmlResult);

ends up in

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
org/apache/xerces/validators/schema/XSchemaValidator
 at
org.apache.xalan.xslt.XSLTEngineImpl.getSourceTreeFromInput(XSLTEngineImpl.java:838)

 at org.apache.xalan.xslt.XSLTEngineImpl.process(XSLTEngineImpl.java,
Compiled Code)

Any suggestions?
