Cocoon, xsp, javascript and other stories

Hi cocooners,

I'm using xsp and cocoon to query and update a collection of xml
documents in exist (native xml database).
I have to be able to assign a fragment  of a xml document to a
parameter of a javascript object.



Is there any mechanism to assign the value returned from <xdb:results>
to a Java variable
or something similar to permit this funcionality?
