Remy,
  The nature of your comment indicates to me that you feel insulted by this
request. By no means did I intend to insult you.

We have a business case for this so our management requres discussion as to why
it is not possible, especially in light of the fact that the predecessor, jserv,
satisfied our requirements.

I am re-opening this as an enhancement.
Our management assumes that Tomcat is a cooperative project where discussion is
possible and encouraged, but they indicateed to me that they are eager to be
informed about any changes to the project's nature in that respect.
