log4j does not show Class Name, Method, or Line Number on AS400

Summary: log4j does not show Class Name, Method, or Line Number
                    on AS400
           Product: Log4j
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Major
          Priority: Other
         Component: Layout
        AssignedTo: log4j-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: creath.jarrell@odfl.com

I have created a pgm to use the log4j.properties file and in the layout I
specified to show the Class Name, Method, Line# for each statement that is
logged. The log is produced just fine on a Win2k environment, however, once
moved up to an AS400 it only shows "?" where the Class Name, Method, Line#
should be showing.

Without this type of information showing in the log I will have to make changes
to each log.---- statement to have the info written. I had already created a
class to do this before I was made aware of the log4j.class. Would like to
continue to use the log4j.class but really need to have this information in the
log in order for it to be worth while.
