X.509 v1 certificates OK, or need v3?

Hello,

Apparently Sun's XWSS product needs x.509 version 3 certificates, available
only with openssl or JDK6's version of keytool.  The version 1 certificates
generated by JDK5's keytool will not work.  Does anyone know if it is the
same situation with WSS4J?

Glen,

Version 1 certs should be fine. There's even a test for v1 certs in
wss4j (wssec.TestWSSecurityX509v1), although it's currently broken as
the cert in question has expired. I'll get around to fixing it over the
next while.
