Indication on Zookeeper Release 3.5.0 alpha becoming stable and current

Hi,

Is there any indication on when 3.5.0 will be regarded as stable and current?

Many Thanks,
Graeme

Unfortunately, that jira doesn't even have a patch and it isn't marked. If this is really important to you, Steven, then you need to make your case in jira and possibly try to work with us on a patch. The release manager needs to be convinced that it is a blocker.

I'm very excited for 3.5.0, but is there any news on https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ZOOKEEPER-1029 ?

This is a serious crasher bug that has been open for a long time, and it would be extremely sad to have yet another release that has known crasher bugs.

Hi Graeme,

I don't think this community has agreed on the timeframe yet, but my sense is that it might be possible to remove the alpha flag for the release after the one that has been just voted. We have voted on a release and we are just waiting on the RM to roll it out. That's still alpha, though.
