mod_proxy not accepting requests using Transfer-Encoding: chunked

Summary: mod_proxy not accepting requests using Transfer-
                    Encoding: chunked
           Product: Apache httpd-1.3
           Version: 1.3.27
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: mod_proxy
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: Mathias.Herberts@iroise.net

Using Apache as a reverse proxy with mod_proxy and mod_rewrite, POST requests
sent using 'Transfer-Encoding: chunked' are rejected by mod_proxy and thus do
not make it to the origin server.

This type of requests is being seen more often as J2ME application using MIDP
are being rolled out.

In order to be fully HTTP/1.1 compliant I suppose mod_proxy should accept such
requests.
