SpamAssassin v3.4.0 RC1 is a full year overdue

I just noticed.  It was scheduled for September 30th, 2011.  

I remain of the opinion that a release candidate should be created from
current trunk as is.

I agree completely.  I'm working through the release docs as time 
permits to get a system setup that can package a release.  I did get the 
signing key passphrase which was a big hold up for a while.
