   Sorry for the delay, was busy on other things, I'll rebase it today.
   
   Another reason that I haven't updated this is because this code is based on a re-implementation I made internally which is cleaner and efficient but it hasn't been shipped onto prod (it's being delayed for various reasons), so we haven't verified it on prod and might be some risk here. I'll plan some time next week to do more testing.
   
   After we get this landed, I'll get the 2nd part ready, which is going to do the real time consistency check, and that's more useful.
