Any alternative to XSL ?

Hi everybody,

Separating creating, rendering, and serving of web
content into different layer is big step towards
cleaner design, but I wonder why Cacoon is so closely
related to XSL.

User may want to use their favorite scripting language
to render XML files or use different technique
to process the XML.

Can the idea of layering be made more flexible ?

Any thoughts?

Regards,
Meera

Hi,

XSLT processor is just one of possible processors (or filters in Cocoon
2 terminology).
So you can write your own processor/filter and transform your XML in way
you like it.
