After starting up openoffice it often crashes and recovers documents.
sometimes it is ok to just wait and then it works, but i cannot find any
consistent time when it works or when it crashes.
at one occasion i collected this output while it crashed when using the
extension manager.
Openoffice 3.4.1 on Fedora 12.

updating is not supported, it's broken and will leave both
/opt/openoffice.org/basis3.3
/opt/openoffice.org/basis3.4
Please remove every package, take care that there is nothing left in
/opt/openoffice.org*, and do a clean install (with a package manager, removing
openoffice.org-ure will try to remove almost everything else).
After that, if you face the bug with the user profile mentioned on the release
notes

, it may be also a good idea to start with a new profile, or at least remove
~/.openoffice.org/3/user/extensions/
~/.openoffice.org/3/user/uno_packages/
