[jira] [Commented] (AIRFLOW-340) Unused Babel dependency
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AIRFLOW-340?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15379460#comment-15379460 ]
Kevin Deldycke commented on AIRFLOW-340:
----------------------------------------
Also, should I track other unreferenced dependencies? I'm sure there's a couple of others lying around. If so, should I open an another ticket/PR to cover this extended work?

> Key: AIRFLOW-340
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AIRFLOW-340
> Project: Apache Airflow
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: release
> Affects Versions: Airflow 1.7.1.3
> Reporter: Kevin Deldycke
> Priority: Trivial
> Labels: dependencies, packaging, patch
>
> I was just looking at the {{setup.py}} file and saw the dependency on {{babel}}.
> The thing is, it doesn't look like Airflow is directly dependent on Babel itself. See: https://github.com/apache/incubator-airflow/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=babel
> I propose to remove this dependency plain and simple.
> PR is available at: https://github.com/apache/incubator-airflow/pull/1668
