When trying to generate a large PDF, the PDF creation crashes.

#1 - What is the maximum number of PDF pages supported by PDF Box

#2 - Is there is any memory foot print with respect to number of pages. 

I tried with PC with 4GB and 8GB ram.

Which editor would be good to view the large PDF files so quickly and search as well.
