How to return Faults to a different jms binding

We're receiving xml messages from a jms queue, that are validated against an
XML Schema. The overall design is that if the message is mal-formed (doesn't
validate against the schema), a Fault should be returned. However, the Fault
should be returned to a jms queue defined by a provider jms binding (not
defined by replyTo in the incoming jms message).
However, it seems as a Fault is returned to the consumer jms binding. Is
there a way around this or should I redesign?

Anyway, this is the sequence I'm thinking for a Fault scenario:
jms consumer -> eip pipeline -> ValidateComponent -> eip pipeline -> jms
provider
The message from the jms consumer is in-only and the call to the
ValidateComponent is in-out.

/Anders

Thanks! We're using smx 3.0, but I'll have a look to see if I can patch it
with these changes.

I have just checked in the needed changes for
http://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/SM-755
I think it should solve your issue :)

You can now set the faultsTarget property with an exchange target
where faults should be sent, or put the sendFaultsToTarget property
to true (faults will be sent to the default target). If none of these
properties is set, the previous behavior will be used: faults will be
sent back to the consumer.
