Document created on earlier version shows link to pictures but not pictures.
Link is shown. Also pictures do not print. A new picture introduced into
document today functions ok with link. Old document functioned ok when looked
at in Apr 2013 using a previous version of Oo.

The problem is resolved. In windows xp link to pictures was created in
document. The pictures were in a subfolder under my pictures which was a
subfolder of my documents. In windows 7 my documents and my pictures are
default folders and my pictures is not allowed as a subfolder in my documents.
Therefore the link does not work and the folders may not be rearranged to make
it work. This requires that the link to each individual picture must be edited
and modified to fit the new link required. This is a laborious process. It
would be nice if an easier process were available in Oo to edit the link
structure in a document

There is nothing which can be confirmed from that document. The pictures are
linked and when you do not have got the images and they are not in exact the
same folder structure as when the document was created, then it is normal and
expected behavior, that the images are not shown.
alewis: Please open the document and then go to Edit > Link. Click on a link
and look at the path, which is shown below the list. Does this path exists on
your computer and does it contain this image?
Have you moved the document, or moved the folder with the images, or renamed
any of the folders?
