[users@httpd] Apache won't start on bootup
I am feeling very embarrassed right now...I can not figure out why my
apache won't start on bootup...I have like 30 servers all running the
same basic setup give or take a couple modules and build numbers...
anyway...
I am running Solaris 8 on an Ultra 30 for this machine. I have always
used the /etc/init.d/inetsvc file to start
MySql , Tomcat and Apache. on this machine it won't start though. I
even copy/pasted the string from the file to check for spaces and
such...starts right up from root. ???
I looked in the error_log but the string is too long and cut off...this
is what I see...
[Sat Sep 7 21:49:43 2002] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
[Sat Sep 7 21:54:41 2002] [notice] Apache/1.3.26 (Unix) PHP/4.2.1
DAV/1.0.3 mod_ssl/2.8.9 OpenSSL/0.9.6d configured -- resuming no$
[Sat Sep 7 21:54:41 2002] [notice] Accept mutex: fcntl (Default: fcntl)
[Sat Sep 7 21:56:40 2002] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
[Sat Sep 7 22:01:28 2002] [notice] Apache/1.3.26 (Unix) PHP/4.2.1

[Sat Sep 7 22:01:28 2002] [notice] Accept mutex: fcntl (Default: fcntl)
[Sat Sep 7 22:03:07 2002] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
[Sat Sep 7 22:06:45 2002] [notice] Apache/1.3.26 (Unix) PHP/4.2.1

I realize the info is short but if there are any ideas where to start or
how to de-bug this I would be greatly in your debt... :)

Is there a service that isn't running at the time the inetsvc script is
run that is needed for Apache to run? What happens if you put you link
inetsvc to /etc/rc2.d/S99local?
