Great, thx, that's it, batch mode is the solution, now m2 doesn't
trace all the download and upload progress anymore.

Sounds like this annoys several people. It should probably land in the
FAQ somewhere, if one of you (who knows more about this issue than I
do) doesn't mind adding it...
