.NET Client
Hi all,
I played around with Apache SOAP a few weeks back - great product, but I was
sad to find out that it did not yet support WSDL and was not inter-operable
with .NET....
So, I moved to Apache-AXIS, beta-3...which does support WSDL and, with a
little fun, got it working with JRun.
Apache-Axis is working fine, with my Jrun app server, but the WSDL files
used in its sample services are not usable to create .NET clients....the
.NET "wsdl" which creates the proxy C-sharp code complains about various
things....(I am not pointing the finger at any particular product).
My question: does anyone know a URL documentating an example Apache-Axis web
service working with a .NET client? I would greatly appreciate any
assistance in this. I am alas confined to a .NET client and was hoping to
develop my web services using Apache and Jrun.
Thanks a ton in advance!
Nick

Nick,
For Axis-specific questions, I recommend using axis-user@xml.apache.org.
Apache SOAP does interoperate with .NET. It neither produces nor consumes
WSDL (although one can use the Axis Java2WSDL tool to create WSDL for Apache
SOAP services), but you can write Apache SOAP clients for .NET services and
vice versa. The client capability recently took a step forward with the
ability to generate doc/lit style messages.
