[jira] [Commented] (BIGTOP-658) Move hbase dependency in hive out
of the main package
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BIGTOP-658?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13402778#comment-13402778 ]
Roman Shaposhnik commented on BIGTOP-658:
-----------------------------------------
Personally, I would hold off on this particular patch until we can answer a more general question of how do we want to approach these types of situation. Hive is not the only component that has some 'auxilary' dependencies -- Pig is the same way, etc.
I think it would be best if we figure it out on the ML first and then can file JIRAs and provide patches accordingly.
Could you, please, start an email discussion?
