[patch] Gamma.logGamma performance

           Summary: [patch] Gamma.logGamma performance
           Product: Commons
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Math
        AssignedTo: commons-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: kgeis@speakeasy.net

I did some profiling on a project and found a lot of time spent in
Gamma.logGamma() (I'm doing a lot of t-tests.) I found some tweaks to the code
that give me a 65% performance increase. I'm using JDK 1.5.

Let's see if I can attach a patch here...
