xdoc to plain txt

Is there a style sheet to transfor xdocs to plain.txt?

I want to make ReleaseNotes.txt, Anouncement.txt files from status.xml 
and module.xml.

hi,
in cocoon documentation you find stylesheets/announcement2txt.xsl
more over in build.xml you will find a target name="announcment" using
this stylesheet.
