use checkboxes in iterate ?

Hi

 Has anyone used html:checkbox tag in a struts iterate
tag and passed the index from the iterate into onclick
event handler for checkbox?.  If so, can you post the
example code on how this is done. I am trying to pass
the index id from iterate to checkbox mouse onclick
event handler and it is not taking effect. Is this
supported in struts 1.0.2 or even in nightly builds?.
According to struts documentation it seems it is
supported. Has anyone verified that this is working?
