404 errors on tomcat

Hello-

I am new to velocity, and am trying to get the examples going. I am able to
install them (per the docs), and according to the logs everything is fine,
but I always get a 404 error when I attempt to access
http://localhost:8080/velexample/servlet/examplename. The manager under
tomcat shows the example webapp as running. Is there something else I need
to do to get tomcat to find the servlet? The standard tomcat servlet
examples work fine...

My feeling is that this is a tomcat config issue...

Here is my setup:

-Win2k
-Tomcat 4.1.12-LE
-JDK 1.4
-Velocity 1.3.1-rc2

Looking forward to using Velocity, if I can only get started ;)

thanks for any help,
Howie
