   This is a work in progress patch.
   Opened as PR for early review.
   There may be several approaches to this problem, this patch is trying to be 100% compatible with the existing endpoints.
   Most of the problem about compatibility is the JMX interface, which makes it not possible to move all of the ServerStats to ServerMetrics and so we need to use Gauges.
