Hi Seb, making this configurable is trivial. Would you suggest that this value default to false? This would agree somewhat with your comment that 'often' one does not care...
I am +1 for the second patch. Changes to schema are always messy and best avoided if possible.
Regardless, I am +1 to making this confugrable and adding it to the Metadata Map.
