The blog software was buggy if you can say that it worked at all. It was in the community app which is not readily available now.
Two major areas of improvement will be tackled.
1. Complex entries (image + text) will be made to work.
2. The content permission checking scheme will be tuned to enforce permissions properly. For instance, authors should not be able to edit anyone's article except their own and only those that are still in draft mode.

Resolution: Fixed
Committed code that resolved the issues above.
To run, import the 4 seed files in ecommerce - ecommerce/data/DemoBog.... and content/data/BlogData.xml
The blog is at the lower left of the ecommerce page.
