[jira] [Created] (SOLR-4435) Developer Curb Appeal: Can't use Solr UI if no cores are present

Mark Bennett created SOLR-4435:
----------------------------------

Summary: Developer Curb Appeal: Can't use Solr UI if no cores are present
                 Key: SOLR-4435
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-4435
             Project: Solr
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: SolrCloud
    Affects Versions: 4.1
            Reporter: Mark Bennett
             Fix For: 4.2

One way to bootstrap a Solr Cloud instance is to start Solr with no cores, and then later use the REST API to create collections, etc.

However, currently you can't use the Solr Admin GUI until at least one core is added.
