This phrase in non-ANSI--it does not turn up in the CREATE TRIGGER production from the ANSI spec, volume 2, section 11.39. It does turn up in the DB2 reference manual with the following explanation: "This clause is used to specify the mode of triggers. This is the only valid mode currently supported."
