[Bug 2814] "Use of uninitialized value in subroutine entry" in Socket.pm kills spamd

http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2814

------- Additional Comments From bakunin@bignose.org 2004-01-17 18:49 -------
just got this bug in 2.61 after an nmap scan of my own box. it's reproducible,
though nmap does not take it down all of the time. cf also
http://www.mail-archive.com/spamassassin-talk@lists.sourceforge.net/msg23940.html

when it does go down, the logs say:

Jan 17 20:27:47 cranky spamd[1532]: server started on port 783/tcp (running
version 2.61)
  [$ nmap localhost]
Jan 17 20:28:03 cranky spamd[1532]: Use of uninitialized value in subroutine
entry at /usr/lib/perl/5.8.2/Socket.pm line 198.
