SSO

Hello all,
I want to use Shiro as the security framework for my system and I need 
to have Single Sign-On for web-apps deployed on my Jetty
Possible in the nearest future I will need to have SSO for webapps 
deployed on different hosts and Jetty instances.
Please, point me the article or may be some documentation to start Shiro 
SSO possibility investigation.
