   This issue is about setting about [sonarcloud](https://www.sonarsource.com/products/sonarcloud/) for Apache StreamPipes.
   It's only about the integration with the repository and GitHub actions not the account creation.
   It would be great if different ways of integrating could be evaluated, e.g., failing CI step, adding a comment on the PR etc., and be discussed in [discussion](https://github.com/apache/streampipes/discussions).
   Furthermore, it might make sense to differentiate between backend, UI and python client.
   Finally, it would be great to extend the README with the corresponding badge.

   **Do not create any account or similar in behalf of Apache StreamPipes for sonarcloud unless you are part of the PMC!
   Reach out to @dominikriemer, @tenthe or @bossenti who will create the account and provide you with the necessary GitHub secrets.**

   Hi @bossenti,
   
   I’d be interested in working on this issue. I have some prior experience with SonarCloud and GitHub Actions and can help evaluate different integration options.
   
   Before starting, I’d like to clarify a few points:
   
   whether the preferred approach is to fail the CI on quality gate violations or to report results via PR comments initially,
   
   and how granular the setup should be for the monorepo (separate configs for backend, UI, python client vs a shared baseline).
   
   Once the preferred direction is clear, I can prepare a proposal and coordinate with one of the maintainers for the required SonarCloud setup and secrets.
