[users@httpd] upgrade apache
hello,
we are still using apache vers. 2.0.43
we want to upgrade to the current version.
could anybody give us some tips, how to convert the old config files into
the new version without so much work?
What are the major changings and for what we must pay attention?
thank you very much for a tip.
cheers mike

build the new apache with all the modules you are using in the previous
version.
You should be able to use the old config file, as it is and just stop
the old ans start the new apache.

Well, you start by reading:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/install.html#upgrading
As it says there, you really don't need to make any adjustments for
this upgrade. But you should probably read through the CHANGES file
just to be sure.
Joshua.
