Roy T. Fielding commented on JCR-1161:
--------------------------------------

BTW, the test case is also bogus because it is using a round-trip through an import to decide if the test succeeded. It should be comparing the results to a static file/array of bytes.

    Attachment: azydron.vcf

Hi Roy,

The Mac OS X test failure is due to Xalan-*2.7.0.jar in
$JVM_HOME/lib/endorsed. Remove these and the Xerces-*6.2.2.jars and all
works fine.

Best Regards,

AZ

Jukka Zitting commented on JCR-1161:
------------------------------------

I believe this issue is about the ExportDocViewTest.readDocument() method, that transforms the exported XML into a DOM Document using a Transformer. Some XML parser or transformer implementations don't include the xmlns attributes (at least the ones for namespaces not otherwise referenced in the document) in the resulting DOM tree, causing the ExportDocViewTest.compareNamespaces() method to fail.

I guess we could work around this issue by doing the namespace check by re-parsing the XML document using a SAX parser with the http://xml.org/sax/features/namespace-prefixes feature enabled.

Hi Julian,

I get th same error on Mac OS X 10.4.10 (8R2232) + Java HotSpot(TM)
Client VM (build 1.5.0_07-87, mixed mode, sharing)

Any recommendations apart from skipping the test?

Thanks in advance,

-------------------------------------

A few thoughts:

- this is a problem we need to fix, but it doesn't seem to be a regression from 1.3.1, so I'd be in favor not to block that release.

- is anybody able to reproduce this?

- can we please have the full information from JUnit (from jackrabbit-core/target/surefire-reports/*.txt)?
