[DISCUSSION] IEP-93: Ignite Packaging
Hello, Igniters.
I'd like to start a discussion about Ignite Packaging for Apache Ignite
3[1]. The main purpose of these changes is related to improving Apache
Ignite 3 distribution process.

MacOs should be supported and yes, the main idea was about Windows and Unix
compatible scripts. I'll update the IEP text. Thank you!

The suggestion looks great.
I have a nitpick. In 'ignite3-cli' and 'ignite3-db' sections, Linux
and Windows are explicitly mentioned, but MacOS is not. Does this mean
that MacOS will not be supported in these cases, or it's just
forgotten? Also, when it comes to scripts, could it be that the idea
was to have a Windows script and a Unix shell-compatible script (not
necessarily Linux)?

Hi, Petr.
So, after this discussion will close I also need to start the voting
process to accept changes provided by this IEP. But, as I see not anyone
provided some comments in the discussion and I think that the voting
process should be fine. Currently, I am in the progress of Gradle build
implementation (IGNITE-17485) and I think that it should be finished in a
short time.

The IEP looks great and there are a lot of work to be done.
I guess we are waiting now for the initial Gradle build implementation to start applying changes on TC and further work for packaging?
