Where Community Contributions Go

I was looking at the old community-uml code base and was wondering...if and
when this gets contributed...where would this project end up?

This question is specific to the community-uml, but it may be relevant to
others as well.

Would it be maintained (1) under the contrib folder, (2) at a top level
folder (maybe community folder with each under that), (3) external to the
netbean codebase (i.e. as an external plugin), etc.
