   I suppose you can try changing it to 32 bits and see if that helps. We need that to be atomically loaded (see https://github.com/apache/mynewt-newtmgr/blob/3748d11416330069818d7ec7a6ff0615eaf19e92/nmxact/xact/image.go#L340).
