Struts TestCase for JUnit

Hello, all.

I've developed an extension of TestCase to test objects in the
Jakarta Struts MVC framework. This TestCase uses mock servlet
objects to run the ActionServlet, so you can test your Action
objects, mappings, forward declaration, and error messaging
without running a real servlet engine.

I've found it quite useful; I hope you will, too. If you're
interested, check it out:

thanks!

Absolutely true, and this is not meant to replace Cactus. I just
wanted something a little more lightweight -- ie: fewer moving
parts -- for my integration testing. More to the point, I've found
it easier to get developers on the unit testing bandwagon if the
process is as simple as possible. The Cactus documentation mentions
that the mock object approach can be cumbersome; I wanted to make
it a little easier to use that method of testing.

thanks.

There is a jakarta project that extends JUnit to
perform server side testing. I just wanted to mention
this in case anyone doesn't know. This project is
different since you don't need to run a servlet
engine. Cactus normally trys to create the real
environment as closely as possible so you are as close
as posssible to your production environment.

Deryl,

Haven't tried it yet. But it looks pretty good.
