Guacamole/App limitations

Hi everyone:

We are considering using Guac to deliver a wide variety of apps (project
management, CAD/CAM, Graphics etc.)

Questions:

1- Are there any browsers we should steer our users away from?
2- Are there any categories of apps that we should steer users away from
because of the limited HTML 5 support (e.g. CAD/CAM, Graphics etc.)

Thank you,

Yes.

At it's core, Guacamole requires only support for the canvas tag and either
advanced XHR (for the HTTP tunnel) or WebSocket (for the WebSocket tunnel):

http://caniuse.com/#feat=canvas

+

http://caniuse.com/#feat=xhr2 OR http://caniuse.com/#feat=websockets

If you want audio, you also need the Web Audio API:

http://caniuse.com/#feat=audio-api

The UI we provide within the Guacamole web application additionally depends
on CSS support for "display: flex", though this is not necessarily relevant
if you are integrating guac functionality into your own app using the APIs:

http://caniuse.com/#feat=flexbox

Thanks Adrian:

When you say most browsers support HTML5, what do you mean? Most browser's
support of HTML5 is somewhat limited - at least according to this page:
https://html5test.com/results/desktop.html

Are the gaps in HTML5 support not relevant to Guac and desktop applications?

Thanks,
Antony

Question1: Guacamole works great with Chrome and FireFox .. most browsers support HTML 5. IE 10 and IE 11 with all compatibility settings unchecked also work.
