[jira] Created: (HBASE-1203) Create "Empty" Eclipse meta-data with
check-style configs
Create "Empty" Eclipse meta-data with check-style configs
---------------------------------------------------------
Key: HBASE-1203
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-1203
Project: Hadoop HBase
Issue Type: Task
Components: documentation
Environment: Eclipse
Reporter: Evgeny Ryabitskiy
Assignee: Evgeny Ryabitskiy
Priority: Trivial
This standard meta-data will provide same check-style configs for every developer. This issue is for small standardization of development process.
Mata-data should contain:
1) Formatter configuration
2) Compiler configuration (warnings/errors)
3) Javadoc configuration
4) SVN configuration
Also I want to make HBase variant of this page: http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/EclipseEnvironment which is referred from Hbase/HowToContribute

Hello, Erik.
Glad to see person with the same views. I have posted first version of metadata. Would be happy if you try it and make your comments. As I notices you still have to specify pass to JRE.
If you want to take part in wiki page creation - welcome :)
I'v got first problems with page editing... can't save page, it returns this massage: "Page could not get locked. Missing 'current' file?"
Can't edit even my personal page. Any ideas???

Hi Evgeny!
I think that this is good, since more and more developers are starting to contribute.
Specially the Eclipse page, since it is kinda handy to use, but a little bit complicated
if you haven't worked with Eclipse before, I think. Just made the jump myself but there
are still some things that needs to be clarified at my end.
Might also be nice to have something on that wiki about how to use Map-Reduce
and Cascading with Eclipse in an HBase context. I'm going to start messing with
Cascading right now, so if you want my input, just let me know.
