Local to Remote Replication does not work when remote target has username and password in url.  

The source couchdb log has things like this: 
Retrying HEAD request to http://vpathak:*****@havewemet.link:5984/testdb/ in 16.0 seconds due to error {conn_failed,{error,eacces}}

Suspicious things include : i) there is no log trace in the target couchdb.  ii) couchdb url head does not close connection,  i.e. curl -i -X HEAD havewemet.link:5984/test_suite_db2/610ae45335995b373ff8efff96033dd2 never returns.

This is on 1.6.1 source build on centos 6
