compling apache-2

I have cygwin on my windows 2000 machine. 

Where can I find information on how to compile a binary for windows 2000 - on the cygwin program - from source code?

Cygwin has gcc, make, gunzip, tar, bz2, etc a regular unix type program with a bash command line
