[jira] [Created] (INFRA-4312) Can no longer delete files from Open staging repos

Can no longer delete files from Open staging repos
--------------------------------------------------

                 Key: INFRA-4312
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-4312
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
          Components: Nexus
            Reporter: Sebb
            Assignee: Brian Demers

After loading files to Nexus (e.g. using Maven deploy), the staging repo is in "Open" state.

It used to be possible to delete any unwanted files (e.g. hashes of sigs, or other non-Maven files) before closing the repo ready for a vote.

However, now it only seems to be possible to delete files once the repo has been closed.

This is very counter-intuitive.

I would not expect to be able to do anything to a closed repo other than drop or promote it, and an open repo should be updateable, e.g to drop anything not required.

Was this change in behaviour intentional?

Yes, that is a pain, someone is working on that. Until that is resolved, I will add comments in this issue.
