[jira] [Created] (AIRAVATA-2969) A redirection with infromation when the gateway portal (PGA/Django) are unavailable for users

Eroma created AIRAVATA-2969:
-------------------------------

Summary: A redirection with infromation when the gateway portal (PGA/Django) are unavailable for users
                 Key: AIRAVATA-2969
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AIRAVATA-2969
             Project: Airavata
          Issue Type: Task
Components: Django Portal, PGA PHP Web Gateway
    Affects Versions: 0.18
            Reporter: Eroma
            Assignee: Marcus Christie
             Fix For: 0.18

In the latest server outage effected PGA server left users seeing 'Forbidden' (image attached) for their gateway URL. This left them without knowing what is going on with their gateway portal.

In a situation where the portal is unavailable for login due to server being down, network issue and server issue the users should be redirected to a page which provides them general information on whats going on.

e.g: "Sorry for the inconvenience and currently your gateway portal is unavailable and please visit again" - or something better to that meaning.
