Copy and paste losing line feeds. inconsistent

I am trying to copy data between 2 different systems accessed through
Guacamole. One is a windows machine with text files that are saved
configuration files from a network switch. The other is a telnet interface
to said network switch.

I'm trying to copy the contents of the config file from windows, and paste
it into the network switch telnet.

What's happening is that somewhere in between there, the newlines get lost.
The behavior is really inconsistent. Between different browsers, and
different computers. Sometimes when I do the initial copy and open up the
ctrl-alt-shift menu, the newlines are gone. Sometimes they're there when I
copy it, but when I paste it into the clipboard for the switch system, they
disappear and it's all on a single line.

It behaves better on Chrome than Internet Explorer, but both have shown
issues, again, inconsistently.

Any ideas?
