Changing default location of Maven files

Hello to you all, 

Just a quick one ..... (I haven't had any luck on searching the mailing list).
Is there any way to change the default location of maven files in all my Mavenized-projects ? I would like to have project.xml, project.properties and the log file in a folder called "Maven" in ALL of my projects
